Based on Matteo Bittante's award-winning film directed by Matteo di Gioia, 24,42 - Duetto brings to the theatre the intact beauty of the filmed story, adapting it perfectly to the simplicity of an empty, pure scene. The Agnus Dei of the opening frames the deposition of a finally universal Christ, reduced to a lifeless body supported only by compassion. The abrupt awakening and the realisation not only that he has suffered, but above all that he has suffered, occurs in the cold light of the investigating torch; it is when the man realises that he then cries out in pain. And his cry fills his belly with breathlessness, ravenous doubt, an instinct for revenge and perhaps the desire to die. At the culmination of this cry, the symbiosis of the encounter takes place: in the vortex of a dialogue that demands only surrender, the mature man reminds his former self of the truths learned in his years of study, invokes, supports, caresses, shows him a new horizon. With his gaze lifted from its rubble, the breath of a new light, of the longed-for consolation, finally breaks through.

Dedicated to all forms of overcoming hatred and blind violence, 24,42 - Duetto takes the spectator on an intimate journey with social implications, raising a sincere and profound confrontation with a theme that it is no longer time to ignore.
